1-
Tuxedo. See if the groom wants to rent or if you
can use your own (if you have a tuxedo)
2- Groom Day Out - Sometimes during
the bridal shower (www.bridesmaid101.com) for the
women, the groomsmen will go out fishing, hiking,
golf, or to a concert/movie. It is nice for everyone
to chip in for the groom on that day if possible.
3-
Wedding gift.
4- The
bachelor party planning (venue, airfare, food
and drink for you). This can be the most costly part
for the groomsmen besides the tux. It is important
to set guidelines and what you are planning to do
early and to make sure that the other groomsmen can
afford the party and chipping in for the
groom-to-be.
5- The
bachelor party supplies and
entertainment.
6- Airfare and accommodations to
the wedding if from out of state.
We felt it was important to speak
briefly on how groomsmen can save some money by
planning ahead:
- Purchase a wedding gift from a
place that gives discount coupons as many retail
stores are hurting and giving %'s off!
- Plan a bachelor party near-by and
do not go out of town if possible. If you do, plan
ahead and ask for group rates! Order
bachelor party items early so it is less
freight.
-If you plan an event during the
girls' bridal shower, make sure to have the event at
a place that takes group rates and is close by to
save expenses.
-Ask for discounts on tuxedo rental
since you can get group rates and they are also
hurting for business.
